———— Living in black ————

Black never goes out of style and looks great on pretty much everyone. I flet cute in my outfit today so I figured I’d do an OOTD. Nothing I wear is ever expensive and most of it is either a thrift find or stolen from my fiancé. Today I’m wearing:

Italian leather boots  / / thrift store
Levi’s 511  / / home alterations
Thermal long sleeve  / / stolen from fiancé 
Black cardigan  / / old as dirt
Dog choke chain  / / petsmart 
Leather arm band  / / thrift find
Coffin backpack  / / Lux De Ville 

The most expensive thing on me is literally my 511’s. I’ve always tried to style myself with budget in mind, but I do believe in treating yourself.  This is my first OOTD but it won’t be my last. Plenty more black outfits to come.

                  As the weather gets warmer I always find it harder to get creative with style. Im really into layering my outfits, but obviously thats harder to do in summer. Today I went for something pretty casual and breathable since it's starting to heat up a bit. I styled up an otherwise basic look with a simple cross body bag and baseball cap. Adding some high socks helps to give the outfit some balance. Otherwise there might be a bit too much of ma stems showing and I'm not that kinda girl. ;) Im happy with how this look turned out and I'm feelin ready for summer. All dressed up with nowhere to go.                                        This whole outfit came together because of a D.I.Y. project I was working on. I made this armband a couple weeks ago. I call it the "quick patch" since you can take it off and put it onto any outfit. I got sick of my favorite patches being stuck on only one jacket or shirt so this seemed like the next logical step. It features the anarchy "A" and the queer rights upside down triangle. As far as the outfit goes, I wanted to balance the black and white since they are such high contrasting opposites. I feel the gray shorts really helped out there. Once again, I just like knee braces.                  Todays look reminds me a bit of Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander in the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I just love her outfits and her attitude in that movie. Nothing like a badass who knows how to get what she wants. I wanted todays look to be a bit of a Goth/Punk mix as well as be utilitarian.
